About the Programme

Postgraduate training in medical specialities in National Health Service of United Kingdom, is designed and managed by the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Postgraduate Training Board (JRCPTB). This is being done in two stages. Stage I is the Internal Medicine Training which is three years and stage II is sub speciality training which is four years in duration. Those who successfully complete Stage I IMT, along with the attainment of all three parts of MRCP are eligible to apply for the Stage II sub speciality training programme in the National Health Service of the United Kingdom. Successful completion of Stage II sub speciality training leads to Certificate of Completion of Training and eligibility to apply for the Consultant post in NHS.

Rajagiri Hospital in partnership with the Federation of Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom is starting the Stage I medical speciality training programme- Rajagiri IMT Program. Coaching for all three parts of the MRCP Examination will be provided along with the Internal Medicine Training Programme all throughout the course right from its commencement. The essence of this programme is to equip the trainees with the essential clinical skills and knowledge to perform at the level of a Medical Registrar in the National Health Service. This three year training, along with successful completion of all examinations of MRCP will make the trainees eligible to apply for Stage II sub speciality training programme in the United Kingdom along with the candidates from the NHS, UK.

Recruitment of
candidates for IMT Programme

MBBS from recognized national or international institutions which are listed by IMC Act 1956 and must have permanent registration with National Medical Commission or State Medical Council.
