Pain and Palliative Medicine

The Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine at Rajagiri Hospital provides ‘Pain Relief and Comfort Care’ to patients suffering from ‘Life Threatening’ or ‘Life Limiting’ medical conditions, to improve their ‘Quality of Life’ irrespective of the disease (Cancer and Non-Cancerous diseases), or the stage of their disease (Curable/ Incurable/ End stage). Along with palliating ‘Physical’ suffering, due importance is also given to ‘Psychological, Social and Existential’ suffering.
