He further trained in minimally invasive neurosurgery and Skull base surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, USA; Head injury at University of Washington, Seattle, USA; Brain tumor surgery at University of Regensburg, Munich, Germany and Endovascular neurosurgery at G.B.Pant Hospital, New Delhi. During his tenure lasting seven years as faculty and Associate professor at NIMHANS, Bangalore– an institute of national importance, he has independently operated more than 2000 complex neurosurgical cases including various pediatric and adult brain and spine diseases. He is also an expert in Gamma knife Radiosurgery which is performed in highly selected centres in the world. He has done research in Traumatic Brain Injury, Neurooncology, Spine injury, Stroke and Advanced Neuroimaging. He has many international publications and presentations at various forums in USA, Japan, Europe and Malaysia. He has attended about 21 skills training workshops and presented papers in about 20 conferences  in India and abroad. He has performed a wide range of complicated head and spine surgeries in a short stint after joining Rajagiri Hospital.
