Nurses in Army Uniform to Fight this War Against COVID 19

As part of International Nurses Day, Nurses of Rajagiri hospital wore Army uniforms symbolising them as Warriors, similar to our Army at the borders protecting us from foreign infiltration. Nurses are fighting on the frontlines to safeguard the lives of everyone affected.COVID-19 has affected the life and health of millions of people all around the world.

Nurses continue to be on the front line fighting COVID-19 daily and providing essential health services. This puts them at high risk of contracting communicable diseases including COVID-19. Nurses at Rajagiri Hospital sported a soldier’s uniform symbolising a fearless warrior who defies all risks to serve the society from this dreaded pandemic. The campaign was organised as part of International Nurses Day to make public aware regarding how risky their job is which they do effortlessly and with whole heart dedication.

International Nurses Day  is observed around the world on 12 May the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth to mark the contributions that nurses make to society.
