Rajagiri Hospital: CAHOs CQP.

Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO) has declared Rajagiri Hospital, Chunangamvely, Aluva as a Centre for Quality Promotion (CQP) to provide support for hospitals to get accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).

CAHO is a common platform for all NABH accredited hospitals in the country and promotes training, hand holding and enabling hospitals to attain NABH accreditation.  Due to the dedication and perseverance of Rajagiri Hospital in providing the best quality of care and patient safety and being an NABH and JCI accredited hospital, CAHO has chosen Rajagiri Hospital to function as a Centre for Quality Promotion.  The hospital has joined hands with CAHO in training and hand holding other hospitals and healthcare organizations in continuous quality improvement and getting accredited.

Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President CAHO presented the CQP certificate plaque to Fr. Johnson Vazhappilly CMI, Executive Director & CEO, Rajagiri Hospital.  Dr. C.M. Bhagat, Secretary - CAHO, Dr. Lallu Joseph, Technical Advisor – CAHO & NABH Assessor, Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Medical Superintendent, AIMS & NABH Assessor, Dr. Suneel C. Mundkur, Professor, Dept of Paediatrics, KMC Manipal & NABH Assessor and Mrs. Parveen Hafeez, Managing Director, Sunrise Group of Hospitals spoke about the need for accreditation, the roadmap, the challenges faced by hospitals and impact of accreditation.  Around 100 delegates from different hospitals in and around Kochi attended the seminar.
