Dr. Vineet completed his specialty training in paediatric surgery from one of the prestigious institute PGIMER, Chandigarh following the footsteps of his father (Dr P S Binu ,an eminent paediatric and general surgeon, Kochi, Kerala).

Thereafter he worked at PGIMER, Chandigarh for 6 months to train in robotic paediatric surgery. Over the next 3 years he went on to complete his fellowship in paediatric urology and paediatric thoracic surgery at Women's and Children's Hospital Adelaide, Australia where he was also awarded the best registrar for the year 2020. 

He is also trained to perform minimal invasive surgeries and ultrasound assisted procedures especially central lines for pediatric patients. His other areas of expertise includes neonatal surgery, paediatric hepatobiliary and colorectal surgery, minimal invasive pectus bar surgery for chest wall deformities, surgery for paediatric solid tumors, outpatient neonatal circumcisions, paediatric trauma and burns.

During his career , he has taken keen interest in research and has publications in various national and international journals.
